Mbappe and Neymar have been continuously linked with a move to Madrid after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure. However, PSG look keen to keep hold of both of their starlets in between immense interest from multiple clubs across the continent. But one player who has expressed his desire to move away from his current club and has also been linked with a move to Madrid continuously for the past week is Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
Hazard had an excellent run in Russia, helping his team to finish 3rd in a world cup filled with uncertainties. The Chelsea number 10 made sure the world knew about the multiple possibilities that lie in front of him in his club career by saying,
“After 6 wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different. Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.”
Numerous sources suggest that Hazard wasn’t happy with the way the club treated his former manager, Antonio Conte, and isn’t thrilled by the manner in which the club keep coming up with managerial changes. Having said that, Chelsea are adamant they don’t want their Belgian star to leave London for Spain. With the time being in Chelsea’s side, considering the transfer window closes on 9th August in England, the club might just be able to keep Hazard in London for one more season.
Chelsea’s current evaluation of Hazard at £200m also stands as a huge hurdle for the club from Madrid.
