According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid have made an opening offer of £100m for the Chelsea duo, Willian and Thibaut Courtois.
Reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid are assured about Courtois’ arrival in the Spanish capital as soon as Chelsea are able to find his replacement. However, the Spanish Giants are now keen on adding Willian to their arsenal as well.
Previously Barcelona were keeping their eye on the Brazilian winger but were hesitant about the evaluation. But later the Catalans “stole” Malcolm from Roma, whereby eventually ending their interest in Willian. Now Real Madrid have reportedly bid around £100m for the Chelsea duo in order to end their concerns in both, the defensive and the goal scoring area.
Willian is believed to be making up around £60-65m of the combined fee while Chelsea are currently in the market to sign a replacement for Courtois and have made Jordan Pickford their prime transfer target. However, the English number 1 is believed to be content with his position in the Merseyside Blues which might force Chelsea to go after Jack Butland instead.
Also, Willian has been a huge transfer target for United boss Jose Mourinho who believes he’ll be able to add up at least one more played to his squad before the season starts. Chelsea on the other hand, are reluctant about selling their ace winger to a direct opposition and might just settle for a deal with the Spanish Giants.
