Kai Havertz has ruled out a move to Bayern Munchen, at least for another year.
Havertz who had an impressive season with Leverkusen last term, is linked with a $95 million move away from the club.
Speaking to Suddeutsche Zeitung, the 20-year-old German said,
“For me, it has long been dear that I will spend the next season in Leverkusen, without ifs and buts. I feel very well in Leverkusen and I see a period here in which I can develop very well. At some point I will take the next step. If it comes to that, then no one will be angry with me here. You just want to to achieve the most possible in your career.”
It should be noted that it’s not only Bayern Munchen, but various other European clubs have also been linked with the player, since the youngster has scored 17 goals and assisted thrice in the Bundesliga last season.
Previously, Leverkusen’s Director Rudi Voller has mentioned that any interested teams in their player should forget about it, as Havertz is under contract at BayArena until 2022.
“It’s logical for clubs to come close, but there was nothing to be agreed and not too much to talk about. For the coming season, I can definitely say that Leverkusen is the right place for me”, Havertz further said.
