Marco Reus has named his compatriot Mesut Ozil as the best player he has ever played with. In an illustrious career which has seen Reus get the better of most of the oppositions at the club and national level, he was quick to pick out Ozil as the best individual he has ever accompanied.
When asked about the best player he has ever played with, Reus said:
“The way he creates goals… he’s a player with a really good eye for his team-mates. He has so many assists in the Premier League and with the national team.”
The veteran German also showed his disappoinment regarding the rather unfortunate end to Ozil’s International career.
Reus was full of praise for the Arsenal playmaker and hoped that the Gunner’s number 10 makes his way back to the starting XI. He said, “He’s just an intelligent player and you can see that right away with a first glance. I always enjoyed playing with him and that’s why it’s a pity he’s taken a step back. I hope he’ll get back to form and return to playing regularly for Arsenal.”
When asked about the recent dip in form of the Black and Yellow army, Reus said,
“Our form lately hasn’t been so good but it’s important that we remain calm. I chat with the team to reassure them that we’ll keep going and that they have to stay positive.”
With a narrow 2 point difference separating the two arch rivals of the German football currently, the title showdown is likely to go right down the wire and it’s safe to say that the German goalscorer will have a key role to play in deciding the name of the club on the Bundesliga Meisterschale.
