As Arsenal travel away to King Power stadium, a lot is at stake. With rumors of Unai Emery getting sacking whispering around, it will be an eventful night where inspiring Leicester City hosts Gunners at home. How well and bad the match could go, here are 4 possible happenings to occur tonight.
1. #EmeryOut and #WengerIn.
Going by Arsenal’s current run of form they do need a man to save their season. No we are not talking about Big Sam, gunners need a specialist who can take them to a fourth place finish which isn’t quite seemingly happening with Unai Emery at charge. The Reds from London are sitting 6 points adrift of Chelsea at fifth position, and going by arsenal’s last 5 results in the league it would be an uphill task to finish in top four if no good solution is found.
With certain amount of Arsenal fans voicing the need to have Arsene Wenger in, perhaps it’s about time to bring back their old school guardian. The weird tactical play from Unai Emery which isn’t serving justice needs a treatment which right now in middle of the season Wenger could address; for there are still many players in current Arsenal squad who have played under Wenger and the manager-player chemistry could still work charm, which hiring an unfamiliar manager to start the team building process again might not work. So you can expect #EmeryOut and #WengerIn becoming reality and trending if Arsenal won’t put on a good show against impressive Leicester City.
2. Mesut Ozil playing full game.
Running out of his genius thought process Unai Emery could be seen fielding a player who he loves ignoring or precisely to say, the one whom Emery makes laugh. Ozil has been as criticized as Emery is for their inability to put out what fans have been expecting, a performance, a result, to help side cause. And tonight when it’s needed the most, Ozil might be getting a full play time to help gunners save their season from going downhill.
Though game being an away affair, things will not be easy for gunners but maybe 90 plus Ozil minutes might just give gunners the boost they are seeking, and might just save Emery’s job. We shall see who laughs out loud at the end.
3. Vardy to score 10 to complete his 100 PL goals.
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
When going gets tough, Arsenal flatters badly, and who knows how bad they’ll slump tonight. Bad enough to concede 10 plus goals? It sounds bizarre to imagine, but Leicester who scored 9 goals few weeks back against Southampton might rock and roll through Arsenal’s defence and punish them badly.
We are not saying that Arsenal doesn’t know how to defend but looking at their fragility against attacking sides Jamie Vardy could be having fun night and his own kind of party. Would it be historical enough to put his name into record books? Leicester fans would wish so. Vardy has scored 10 Premier league already this season.
4. Mustafi scores hat-trick.
How to make things memorable? Just play like you fear nothing. And maybe, just maybe, putting on a performance of lifetime would be enough to get praise all around and get everyone into disbelief that this didn’t happen. The target of all the trolls and memes Shkodran Mustafi can ring a bell to Dejan Lovren and take some lessons to how make yourself count for the team. Maybe watching Lovren’s goals can bring the magic out of the German.
In Mustafi we believe.
